Just a short drive away, Sasquatch Mountain Resort is a fantastic spot for winter sports lovers! Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, you'll find plenty of fun, from skiing and snowboarding to snowshoeing and tubing. It's a fantastic, family-friendly mountain with a laid-back vibe and a surprising amount of powder.
Curl Up by the Fire
This is an absolute must! Our gas fireplace is the heart of the home in winter. Grab a blanket, a great book, or just sit and watch the flames. It’s the ultimate way to unwind and recharge.
Harrison Lagoon Walks
Don't let a little cold air stop you! The Harrison Lagoon is a beautiful place for a peaceful stroll, even on a chilly, clear day. Or, for a bit of a thrill, find a cozy spot in a waterfront restaurant and "storm watch" from the warmth of a window as the winds whip across the lake.
Get Festive at Kilby
Get into the holiday spirit at the Kilby Historic Site! They often host special Christmas events, giving you a glimpse into Christmases past with old-fashioned charm, festive decor, and maybe even a tasty treat or two. Be sure to check their schedule for all the seasonal fun.
The CP Holiday Train
Agassiz has a truly special holiday event with the CP Holiday Train! This brightly lit train rolls through town, stopping for a free concert that's all about raising food and funds for local food banks. It's a heartwarming and festive experience you won't want to miss.
A Magical Walk in Harrison
Tourism Harrison hosts a beautiful Christmas tree lighting, and the whole village gets into the festive spirit with the "Lights by the Lake" event. The waterfront is transformed into a sparkling wonderland with festive lights and displays, making for a truly magical evening stroll.

While Harrison Hot Springs Resort has its own private pools, there is a public pool for visitors. We want to be sure to set your expectations, as it’s a more rustic and simple experience compared to the resort's private pools. But hey, it’s still a chance to soak in the famous mineral waters!
Christmas Shopping and Farm Finds
Agassiz and the surrounding area offer some charming, small-town Christmas shopping opportunities. You might even find some local farms with special holiday offerings! It's the perfect way to pick up a unique gift or a tasty treat to bring back to The Antler House.
